I recently read a debate on Plan-B (morning-after pills). Now I'm curious: Do pro-lifers believe birth-control is the same as abortion ?

Generally, those who identify as pro-life do not consider birth control to be equivalent to abortion. The typical argument is that "life begins at conception", and becomes sacred or acquires a soul, etc., at that point.

The Catholic church does oppose birth control, but they're in the minority among religious denominations and pro-life groups. My suspicion is that the Catholic church realizes that procreation is it's best way to perpetuate itself and keep a grip on people; thus the opposition to birth control even in a world suffering from dangerous rates of population growth.
