I think some of us are a little to over zealous in supporting this law, does immigration need to be solved, yes. Is this law going to solve it? I would say first of all the basics of this law need to be evaluated. You can be stopped if you look remotely latino, and arrested if you don't have immigration papers on your person.
For all those supporting this, I would say you might not understand the implications of this law for our country as a whole, short term for Arizona natives, they might be happy, long term for the country as a whole, quite frankly how would you feel if you were stopped because of the way you looked and couldn't provide immigration papers. I'm Italian so this might have an effect on me. This law is not something you want in the long term and can and will be abused. Already its turned Arizona into a Police State, like it or not, thats what it is.
The last thing I am going to say is where is your empathy? In fact your humanity? I feel we in the USA have been desensitized with all our materialism. Here, all middle class American parents have to worry about is what car they're getting for their childs Sweet Sixteen, In Mexico its about getting enough clean water and food for your family. My point is, on the topic of immigration you have to look at through the lens of "what would I do if I was in their position?" In other words look at this question then consider what it means to be human.
