Does the Pope actually do something?

    Ok I'll change my answer in a more lovely kind of way.Not to get a better rating because I will still speak the truth.
    The Pope takes on the role of God. He says he is the closest to God and that he can forgive sins. The bible is contrary of that. "For there is no respect of persons with God."
    (Romans 2:11)
    In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
    (Colossians 1:14)
    Only Christ can wash away your sins and we are all equal at the cross, meaning one is not higher than the other. To say otherwise is be be full of self rightousness.
    Read the bible.

    • I'm not Catholic, and I disagree in many significant ways with Catholicism.  Nevertheless, I think this answer contains no useful truth, and amounts to an entirely baseless personal attack against the Pope.

    • That is a good truthful answer, free4life. The pope is a man, just a man. He heads up the catholic church, thats all. He is no closer to God then anyone else. The catholic church is very arrogant if they think
      the pope takes the role of God. What is wrong with them? Don't they read The Lords Word. The Holy Bible. I have never even read ONE thing in The Holy Bible about the pope, I don't think The Lord even refers to him, in The Holy Bible. God will deal with them on judgement day.
      The first commandment: I AM THE LORD THY GOD, THEY SHALT NOT HAVE STRANGE GODS BEFORE ME.
