Mormon Glenn Beck yesterday claimed to have received a revelation from God. What do you think of this?

"God is giving a plan, I think, to me. That is not really a plan. The plan that he would have me articulate; I think to you, is get behind me. And I don‘t mean me. I mean him. Get behind me. Stand behind me." Donklephant.com

If I were a Christian, I would be very careful before saying that God couldn't do something. The same God that put words in the mouth of a donkey (Book of Numbers, chp. 22) can put words in the mouth of Glenn Beck, if he chooses to do so.

My impression of the Christian God is that he sometimes does things his followers believe he would never do, revealing their prejudices and lack of understanding of the true meaning of things. I'm sure the Pharisees of Jesus' day were very sure of their grasp of spiritual truth; and they missed the most important spiritual truth of all time, from a Christian perspective.

People should be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger. The town of Jericho fell, thanks not to a pious Jew but to a Canaanite whore. Don't judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment.
