I actually coded that. I bet you didn't know I used to work for Symantec, huh? Totally serious coincidence here.

actually i do know that you worked for them. I worked for NO Such Agency for a while myself. Did some summer work for SC also, maintaining information systems.

Oh, nevermind then. I thought it was pure synchronicity at a metaphysical level. Damn.

I love that answer! And unless you believe in conscious reincarnation...

Thanks! I'm used to being called 4-letter words, but that's less disturbing than most of them... The thing about all these "I left my body, saw the angels, and came back" stories is .... those people didn't really DIE. To die involves not coming back. So there's no way to establish what those experience might actually mean. Also, my suspicion is that the character of these experiences is a function of social conditioning. What would a 10-year-old Chinese child who's never heard of angels experience?

Philosophy is about trying to find answers to unanswerable questions like this one. None of us have died (like you said, unless we believe in reincarnation), but we will all have an opinion (unless if we have no idea).

Well I agree with you about philosophy, and I suppose I'm speaking out of turn a bit here, since my response to these kinds of questions isn't really philosophical...

@all.. We all have experience in death or nonexistence. Tis the same experience as before each was born.

There is documented medical records that describe what death may feel like. Most of these investigations were submitted by patients who have had near death experiences, these are the closest references we have available to us thus far. (Please refer to my submission.)

Those could be hallucinations from dying.
Who knows what it feels after you're dead.

silly question.
by silencescreams on March 9th, 2009
The question was asked in 2005. I really doubt the individual is going to come back to discuss it with you.

I could say I've been dead twice because my heart stopped and they jump started me, but...the key words there are jump started.. I didn't get the honor of staying dead and I still had brain function.. No..didn't see anything except the second time I saw those paddles and remember the jolt which SLAM! knocked my ass right out till the next day.
If you really wanna know what death feels like.. well then..you know..DIE Goddammit! There is no other way..
End of speech.
