Help answer this question below.

If you could snap your fingers and magically every illegal alien would be gone from the entire USA what do imagine would happen the next day?

    Initially, there would be mass chaos. Agricultural production would stop dead. Maintenance and cleaning tasks as well. Much of the service industry would be eliminated.

    This would have an immediate impact on food... grocery. Cheap restaurants and fast food would never open again. Many people would not be able to go to their better paying jobs, for lack of child-care support.

    The financial and futures markets would go nuts... agricultural futures would sky rocket. Wall street would go crazy and probably crash.

    Like it or not, we use undocumented foreign labor as something of an "underclass" in this country - their immediate and sudden (permanent) absence would be devastating.

    • You're assuming that illegals make up the bulk of the work force in those industries nationwide. That's simply not the case. Around here, you're more likely to run into American teens working at cheap restaurants and fast food joints than an illegal immigrant.

    • Using undocumented laborers is nothing less than returning to a slave-based economy. Is that really where we are today? Is it where we want to be?
