You dont go to jail if you attempt it, you go to the hospital. So wouldnt it just be that its not medically recommended?
And if you did commit suicide they cant take you to jail! I mean no one says "I wont kill myself cause I dont want to go to jail" LOL Another silly law.

I prefer "thou shalt not murder." That way you are allowed to kill food (animals OR plants) to stay alive and you are allowed to fight to protect your family or your country.

I do agree with the not killing animals (I'm a vegetarian), but plants, though a living being are not supposed feel pain (plants have no central nervous system, no nerve endings. No nerve endings means no pain). So what are you supposed to eat? I know some people only eat fruits and vegetables fallen from trees, etc. (fruitarians I think), I guess because they died of "natural causes". But geez, do you want to live or die? Can you live off of just that?
There are natural things that are here for us to eat, we just have to respect them, not take advantage of them (like raping lands, pesticides, genetic changes, etc.), and all live in harmony.
