What is the MLB team record for consecutive hits in an inning?

    I asked this question on another website, and this is the answer I got:

    "The MLB record is 12 consecutive hits which has been done twice in the National League. And the interesting thing is that both times it happened over two innings--in other words the third out was recorded on the base paths after a hit. And then the streak continued in the next inning. The Cardinals first accomplished the feat in September 1920 and the record was tied by the Dodgers in June 1930.

    The American League record is 10 consecutive hits in one inning and that has been done three times in AL history. The first time was done by the Red Sox in June 1901. The record was tied by the Tigers in September 1983 and again by the Blue Jays in September 1992."
