In NCAA college football, can an offensive player have the same jersey number as a fellow teammate who plays defence on the same team?

    No because numbers are assigned according to position. Example, QB's, punters and place kickers are usually 1-19, running backs are 20-49, Wide receivers and tight ends generally are 80-89, offensive guards and tackles 60-79 and centers are 50-69.
