Full story: Girl, 11, Gives Birth to Baby Boy in Northeast Hospital on FoxNews.com
I feel sad for her that her parents didn't step in and end the pregnancy long before she gave birth, but then maybe they were not that involved in her life which is why at 11 she got pregnant. All very sad really.

no abortion is killing someone just because its a baby that doesn't change anything
by bambamjk14 on February 5th, 2010
Hmmm do you mean "no abortion is killing someone" as you say which means that no abortion is killing or do you mean, no, abortion is killing someone as in abortion IS killing someone? If you want to get your point across you may want to check out punctuation.
by Gingerminx on February 5th, 2010
Bambamjk abortion isn't killing someone because the whats inside the child at the time when the abortion was possible wasn't human it was more like some material and electrisity. You can't be considered a person until you have a peronality. Then it's not a baby until it's actually born.

with all due respect to both pro-life and pro-choice commenters, i have a comment about warex225. Fetus' are human, they aren't nothing for nine months and then one day you suddenly have a human. Babies(fetus') continue to develop human characteristics and need to breath, recieve food, be sheltered just like a normal human being. It IS killing a human no matter which side you happen to agree with- science is always right and it is a human
by Iriomote Cat on February 6th, 2010
ok i men't no, abortion is killing killing killing its still a human being God wanted that baby on earth
by bambamjk14 on February 6th, 2010
Thank you for elaborating. Yes, abortion is killing, and in this case should have been what the parents did. Thats my opinion, you are all allowed your own.
by Gingerminx on February 6th, 2010
You know, maybe they punished her by letting her carry the baby to term! The labor and hardships of the full 9 months is taxing on any woman, much more so an 11-year-old!!!
I would not let my family abort. I'd let them carry to term, and if they're not in a good position in life to raise them, I'll let some Extended family member take the baby in. If not them, then simply put him/her up for adoption.

i agree with her maybe if i have to put it up for adoption
by bambamjk14 on February 7th, 2010
How terrible that you would force an 11 year old to go through something so physically and emotionally detrimental to them. I imagine that "punishment" could very well be considered child abuse.
by Gingerminx on February 7th, 2010
Actually, ginger, abortions are both physically and emotionally taxing on a person as well
by Iriomote Cat on February 7th, 2010
Yes, but probably not for an 11 year old.
by Astrid on February 7th, 2010
Both are not desirable, of course. But just so you know, the parents cannot force her to do anything. It is her body, not he parents', and it is her decision what happens to it. Perhaps she was raped, and it was never her choice from the beginning, carrying this baby? I mean, there are so many creeps in this world, aren't there? And maybe, just maybe, she doesn't agree with abortion. I mean, this is all way too much and too mature for an 11 year old to be dealing with, but I'm just elaborating. Her parents cannot force her to do anything. As long as she is old enough to make her own decisions (which she is), then they cannot force her to do anything, it is her choice if she wants to get an abortion, or go through birth. The parents will have a big say on what happens with the baby, and can point her in a direction for way of mind, but the ultimate say on what happens with her baby is her.
