Question

Help answer this question below.

My daughters laptop gets so hot you can't set it in your lap to work because it will burn your legs, then it's shuts off. It even melted the plug that you use to get wall power. Is this something that I can get fixed, or just trash it and get a new one?

Check to make sure that the battery isnt one of the many part of recent recalls due to overheating/explosion. Or get one of these http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1648579&CatId=607

    • I agree. It may be the battery, especially if this is a new problem (didn't happen when new).
