Question

I know that some US states are considering secession, but is the US financially wiped out, and we haven't been told yet? Are we on the brink of civil war because of it, as this article suggests?

I guess your speaking of the "Republic of Texas", well, I am not going into great detail but consider this:

Anybody living in Texas would have to get a US visa to leave Texas

any travel outside of Texas would be subject to tariffs, since they would be using US roads.

The current infrastructure would have to be redone (gas, water, electricity) for the Republic of Texas to be independent, since they are on the current US grid.

The international Monetary fund would have to approve a differant currency, and determine it's true value, so a Texas dollar might not go as far if they bought goods and services from Say, Alabama.

those are just a few of the eye openers for all of the secessionist to consider

    • Shhhh! Don't tell them THAT! I'm hoping Texas DOES secede. Then we can shut them off and let them wllow in thier own ignorance. When they finally die or kill themselves off we'll let reasonable people resettle it.
