    Ignore them. They thrive on attention. What if they stage a protest and no one comes? What if they throw another one and no one comes again? Westboro Baptist is the product of a liberal secular humanist media who wants to make the church look bad. They put Westboro on TV again and again because they are trying to convince people that this is how Christian churches behave. Westboro is happy to oblige, because it gets their hate-filled agenda on the air and it gets them lots of the attention they so crave. It is an unholy alliance.

    If you want to get rid of Westboro, ignore them. Encourage your friends and family to ignore them. Study the Bible so that you actually know what it says and you understand that what they are selling is not the Bible or Christianity. If you give it a surface read, like you would read a novel, you might think it does. But if you take the time to give it serious study you will know it is not. And if you know what it does say, the Phelps clan will look utterly ridiculous to you.

    Of course, if you want to continue to hear their hate-filled, foul, racist filth for the next thirty years or so, just keep picketing them and paying attention to them.
