Question

Help answer this question below.

I tried to move out when I was 19. I had money and it was a safe, close place. My parents screamed they would disown me and other horrible things until I was traumatized and didn't leave. I was always the "perfect" child, why did they do this?

You must understand that some parents have hard time letting go and just accepting you are growning up. My parents are like that with me they really didnt want to move out or get married and since I got raped a couple of years ago they have really pushing for me and my husband to move back in with them. They are even talking about building us a wingto their house so we can move in.When I told them that we were leaving to going to grad school they really flip out. But I know they are doing that out of love but they will just have to accept that I am grown now and make my own decisions.
