Question

Help answer this question below.

I suspect my dog has some wolf (or wild dog) close in her blood line. She is loving and loyal to me, but no matter how much I try to socialize her she does not like other people. Are there any signs or test I can go by to see if she has wild dog in her?

I wouldn't waste money on tests, most dogs are from the ''wild dog'' bloodline in the first place.
Gonna ask you a wild question here: Are you a social person yourself? cause dogs pick up really quick.
The best you can do, is keep trying to socialize her, maybe also invite friends to your home, its the dog's home too. Just keep trying perserverance goes a long way....

    • Right on, good answer! Our pets are extentions of us . . . Maybe a visit to Cesar Millan's Dog Whisperer site will help, here's the link: http://www.dogpsychologycenter.com/

    • Thank you for your answer. I happen to be a very outgoing person, so I don't think that is the problem. Her father was a stray pup we aquired. We thought he was a chow mix because of his black tongue. We loved him and treated him good yet he turned on us. I had suspected he may have had something like wolf in him. He was not a typical chow chow color and had the grey and cream color of a wolf he looked like spits of some sort....So I dont know what to think.
