    not in love

The all powerful god, the benevolent and all knowing gods whatever form a god takes, it is a representation of the culture in which it exists.

There is good because people live in a way that is beneficial and harmonious with their surroundings and the other people around them.

There is evil, because someone has been badly hurt and has learned to live in a hurtful way to survive. They recreate the hurt they have come from until someone who understands and has the inner strength to do so steps in to stop the cycle.

Taking the responsiblility for good and hurtful acts out of the hands of humans and placing them into the hands of unreachable gods has been used by cultures time and again to repress, control, and take land from another cultures.

They think we are 'evil' We believe we are 'good'

the truth in this is, we want their land, they want to control their land,
they have fought for their land as long as they can remember, fighting for their land is the only thing they know how to do. What do they have that we want? Is it worth fighting with someone who will never stop fighting?

Evil is a choice that we make. It's our decision, don't wait for god.

    • Saying that good and evil are subjective (while perhaps correct) isn't answering the problem evil's existance; not useful.

    • Well said, moral value is like a pair of spectacles. Evil is created by our subjectism. (Hume)

    • The implied condition in the question is "if there is G-d." A condition implied poses as much constraint as one stated.

    • Evil IS a choice that we make! I agree. But trusting in God is the ONLY hope we have ... not this Humanistic nonsense that you speak of.
