Kuwait was part of iraq under the ottoman empire and part of basra, the other major provinces at the time were Baghdad and Mosul. Before 1930 the area known as kuwait was part of iraq and there was no difference between the arabs in basra and kuwait. These bidoons (not Bedouin because they are completely different people) were people have been living in kuwait for decades before the independence of kuwait. They had family and links with iraq in cities like simawah and and were living in (Qadha) which is what kuwait was called before WW1,a district within the Basra Province.
To say that the bidoon are iraqi refugees that stayed in kuwait after the liberation of kuwait just does not make sense. If the bidoon of kuwait are not kuwaitis then who the hell is? The persians or the indians immigrants! Most of the modern day kuwaitis have iraqi heritage, just look at the arab tribal last name, if they dont have an arab last name then there either persians or indians. PS i'm not bidoon but I like kuwait because they will always be apart of iraq , there might be a border which was bulit after WW1 but there is no difference between basra and kuwait and no difference between Baghadad and Basra.
