Which is better as a home PC: a laptop or desktop?

    well,I use a laptop for a home pc(Using it now) and I really like it,but we recently had it serviced and it was quite pricy,and I heard that if it were a desktop it would have cost less,so a desktop would be better,more space and power.However this laptop here is way more powerfull than my Dads that he uses at his office.So it really depends on the type of computer you want for you home.
