Question

Help answer this question below.

My Saturn Vue (2005) makes a squealing noise after I've been driving a few minutes. It gets louder the faster I go. It stops completely right before stopping. I can't tell exactly where the noise is coming from but it is constant. Any ideas?

There are "idler pulleys, or sometimes called tensioner pulleys that can squeek, or rattle. Have the tensioners replaced. The bearings go bad on them and they wobble, not to harm the engine or car, but it is noisy and annoying. Sometimes these can be very expensive to replace, so have it done next time you have your timing belt replaced or other work that involves that area of the engine.
