Have you ever lanced a cyst? Warning: video is not for the faint hearted.

    Yes, I have. However, this made me cringe:

    1) no cleansing of the area or blade (is that a kitchen knife?)... no effort to maintain a sterile field.
    2) no gloves. Even better, she has a bandaid which means HER skin is not intact.
    3) I am certain no antibiotics. Even if he does take some, they are not prescribed for him and, most likely, are going to be ineffective.
    4) I do not think they got all of it. If it is not completely excised, even properly done, it is coming back.
    5) to do it properly with a cyst of that size, after it is excised, it has to be irrigated properly or, again, it will come back.

    If that thing does not cause him a LOT of problems in the future, I shall be surprised.

    • You are absolutely correct. I do little medical procedures on my husband & kids (little cysts, removing stitches, etc.) but I always make sure everything is sterile. But if it was that size, I'd make them go to the doctor. That looked more like an abscess. I hope they didn't squeeze more inside his body which could make it worse too.
