Bacteria are very small. I've seen them under a microscope. They are usually between 2-7 micrometers long.
Why is it an evolutionary advantage for Staphylococci to be salt tolerant? Where do most Staphylococci live as far as an environmental niche

Do I need a microscope to see living bacteria? I need to see the effects of antibiotics on bacteria, but can I see it without a microscope?

What 7 micrometers ! I think your wrong !
Most bacteria between 4 and 0.4 µm very few bacteria are bigger that that !
The biggest bacteria is Epulopiscium fishelsoni it's more than 0.7 mm

You may mean the Paramecium or Ameba ...etc
but the Acetobacter is a kind of bacteria .bacteria are so small ,smaller than 7 micrometers !
You know I spend my life on the microscope ! he he ..! ^_^
