Currently, 2011, do you need to have a small estate affidavit notarized in Illinois? I think this may have been a recent change.

You're reading Besides drawing up a will, how can I ensure upon my death that I want to be cremated and how I want my assets to be divided? If I write my wishes down on paper and sign it, will someone take that document into consideration upon my death?

A will can NOT be notarized..at least not in CA!
