I'll answer this really quick before I go.
Traditional is to do your best ethically. You don't have to be perfect but what matters is that you try. You take responsibility for what is yours to be responsible for, work hard and value how you are viewed by society. That doesn't mean you can't be yourself, just that you don't carelessly trash your reputation or that of your family.
Which traditions can you never seem to part with? Why?
