Does metal hose actually have waterproof metal, or just a plastic core?

    If the exterior is "braided" metal the metal braid has a liner inside made of some plastic/rubber elastomer. But there are solid metal "hoses" made of solid metal but these are not very flexible since they achieve their flexability by fluteing the hose (rippled effect). A hose on a hot water heater is one example of his... it can be bent but holds its position more so than say a garden hose...

    • never thought about that flutting, must be really cheap, the wire to make a hose is worth 100 times the cost of the hose.
