All the Gold Nuggets that were to be found have already been found.
Now all that is left is Gold Ore.
Often the concentration of gold in the ore is so low that the cost of separating the gold from the ore is higher than the value of the gold extracted.
Still there is nothing to stop you from going gold prospecting!

How much gold has been found? I once heard that if all the gold found so far was melted down, it would fit in two olympic sized swimming pools. This seems to be too low of an estimate.
