    Yes. Not because I think I am terribly smart, but because the current "dumbing down of America" seems to make those around me appear much more stupid. Does that make sense? It seems like the media and the overal cultural climate these days encourages stupidity and frowns on behaving in an intelligent, respectful manner. For example when people get on the subway blasting their music while shouting at each other and using the most unintelligent speech possible... I tend to think that they are most likely not as smart as I am. Maybe its a stereotype, or a prejudgement but hey, if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, its probably a duck.
