A headgasket replacement can run upwards of $1500 or more and that's as much or more as you've invested in it initially.
IF the rest of the van is pristine, then a head gasket replacement would probably be cheaper than buying another vehicle though...but I'd probably just junk it and get another one.

car has 160k miles replaced: trans 2x, engine 1, other major items. How long should it last? It's a 2002 dodge grand caravan.

You're reading I have a 1992 ford aerostar van with 186,000 miles. I have a little milky appearance in the oil. If I have a blown head gasket. should I pay to change it or junk it. I paid $1500.00 for it 4 years ago.
