What gives us the right to Kill one another even in War when the Ten Commandments say " Thy Shall Not Kill " -- ? ---- Please don't bash me it's just been on my mind latley

    This is not an answer, but I always wondered, does it perhaps apply to animals too? Since it does not say, "thou shalt not kill people", it just says "Thou shalt not kill." Period. Just curious on a similar topic.

    • According to the Bible, it was when Noah exited the ark that God gave man a dietary law which included some types of meat. This was several hundred years 'prior' to the 'commandments'. The Hebrew word at Gen.20:13 is more accurately rendered 'murder'. [referring to humans]
