Jamestown, Virginia, in 1604, is usually mentioned as the first legally incorporated USA settlement, when the British invaded what is now known as the USA.
However, there are those who will correctly claim that Native American tribal lands are much older, and pre-date the Jamestown settlement, probably by hundreds, or even thousands, of years.
