It depends on if you are able to suspend disbelief when watching them, to allow yourself to be drawn into the movie... in other words to take it seriously. Horror movies don't tend to be scary when you are watching them with a group of friends, commenting throughout the whole thing.
I really like The Shining and Hellraiser. What is your favorite Horror movie?
