Well, it makes people feel good, and feeling good is a large part of being healthy.

On a more pregnancy specific note (of interest to me at the moment), I've been told that having sex, particularly the orgasm part for both men and women is very good for the growing baby as it releases all kinds of happy hormones that make the baby feel good.

Also, on another pregnancy note, there are chemicals in semen which can help you go into labour, so it's pretty good if you're overdue!

    • ... it is the orgasm, not the ejaculation that feels good ...

    • Semantics: for most men they are one and the same (note I said most, not all). I don't really think it was worth rating down!

    • I gave it a +1 (only, no more) ... not a down,

but physiologically speaking, the orgasm and the ejaculation are two completely separate events. When the male has no deep internal self controls, the ejaculation just happens unconcrolled as the orgasm overloads the undisciplined and unprepared brain, so they may happen together or very close to each other, but they are not the same.
