There is a baseline level of respect that concience require us to have for everyone.
People can earn more respect or forfeit their respectability

Had a jerk AB er.last nice that I felt I was being civil too and he totally acted like an ass. Then the gloves were off and he forfeited my respect. He called me a bitch and I showed him what bitchy was. :/ Still burns me. But at least I got a new nice friend out of it. :D So all is well in my little world again.
