I believe they move data back and forth between the two sites as a search engine ploy.
If the UK version can be signed in, then they are two separate sites, one probably for the UK and one for the US (worldwide), as others have tried signing into the UK site (members of the .com site), and failed.
If you do a search in Google and find the opposite site than the one you sign into, simply change the .co.uk to .com for the main site, and vice versa for the other. (Make sure, for either, that the beginning of the URL is "HTTP: // www." (no quotes, no spaces), or it won't work right.) If you are signed in to your site version, then when you change the URL to it, it will be signed in.

I clicked on AB UK today as I live nearer to the UK than the US but both sites seem exactly the same, so what is point of having an AB UK?
