Does a liquid get hot when it is compressed?

    NO:and yes
    In theory one CANNOT compress a liquid.You can a Gas.
    A hydraulic resevoir has heat sinks to help remove the heat caused in a working hydraulic system,which works by TRYING to compress a liguid oil.
    Or a air conditioning system ,it too, must get rid of heat that is produced from attempting to compress various liguids.
    And if your married, you will know that too much applied force can and will cause an explosion; so be careful whhen you attempt to com press anything.Safety First!
