I wasn't aware that flying planes into huge structures required any kind of 'mastermind'.
Why is ground zero called that?

Four planes were hijacked simultaneously from one of the safest airlines in the world and three of them were flew all the way to the targets without being stopped or crashed down and two of them were crashed into twin towers in a perfect way that caused a total destruction. Don't you give it a chance that maybe there was some kind of mastermind behind any of these?

I think you should give the incident more credit than that.

Plenty of planes have been hijacked. Not from airports, by the way, but in flight. Security was a LOT more lax back in the day, in case you don't remember. In addition, people were told that if they ever got hijacked that cooperation with the hijackers commands was the best policy. No one had tried anything like it yet (the only genius of the plot was its originality). Indeed, once those on 93 realized what the gig really was the fought the plane into the ground. I don't doubt that some fool had coordinated watches, a few plane tickets and a plan. What I do doubt is that they deserve the title 'mastermind' (indeed, had the planes hit merely a few hours later in the day the causality might have been triple what it was).

I see now where you're coming from and I almost agree with your post specially with the fact that originality played a key role in the succeed of the incident but I still believe that it was a well organized job.

No doubt the synchronization was impressive.
