Help answer this question below.

Why do so many Americans insist on grouping each other into Conservative or Liberal. Isn't it possible that a person is not best defined by the party he or she votes for? If you like to identify yourself with one party or political ideology, why?

    Because it's part and parcel of the human mentality.

    It's a paradigm that's spoon fed to us since the days of the nipple.

    We vs Them. God vs Devil. etc. Ad infinitum, ad nauseum.
