Well, it's like this... Legally, they probably don't have a right (are you going to take them to court?). Legally, they DO have a right to keep you from the computer, give you a curfew of 10:00, and do many other things to make you miserable. My hope (and their hope, too, I'm sure) is that you aren't doing anything online that would cause you to be concerned about them having your passwords. If you're going on 16, it'll be soon enough when you'll be able to keep all that private - Eventually, though, you'll miss those times when the biggest challenges in your world were giving up your passwords to your mom...

You're reading Are parents allowed to have my email or username and passwords for things such as email, MySpace, Facebook, blogs, etc. I'm 15 and I will be turning 16 in March. I don't want to give her my passwords, but I'm not sure if it's legal or not.
