What do you think of Deuteronomy 22:28-29? I personally think this would severely reduce rape if made Law as God wanted it.

You're reading How can you "love thy neighbour as thyself" without committing adultery?
Comments
I think I'd have to disagree with you just a tiny bit on that.
There are many relationships which can be based on love (not lust or simply physical attration).
For example ..... one may have any number of friends he truly loves, but in absolutely no sexual/lustful manner.
One may greatly love his parents, aunts, uncles, cousins ...but in no physical manner.
The flip side of the coin ..... one may have friends - and relatives - for whom he does feel a sexual love.
The catcher - Biblically speaking - is that if one feels a, shall we say "improper" or unacceptable love then he has already committed adultery.

You may find love out of adultery. No question. But the act of adultery is selfish and devoid of love. The act. Not the people involved. There are other ways to roll with this besides dishonesty and hurt. When that comes to fore, love flies out the window and selfishness and lust prevail.
