What is all this chip hoo-hah about? I've been hearing these conspiracies to implant chips in people since I was in grade school and have never seen this taking place except for Verichip medical code chips (and those are so low-tech that it took my vet almost 25 minutes to "find" the chip implanted in my dog with a reader that was about 1 inch off his skin).
Really, if we are going to talk about the government tracking your movements and activities, I would be more worried about things like state driver's licenses with rfid chips on them. Especially with the current sophistication of rfid readers. Just imagine sitting in the drive-thru at McDonald's. An government agent drives by, and before you can say "Hot Apple Pie" they've got you logged in a database somewhere.
To an extent, I believe that a large amount of people have lost the concept of privacy (partially due to technologies like the internet and cell phones). How many people carry their cell phone everywhere they go? Hell, if Uncle Sam wanted to know where people are at, they wouldn't even have to go that far. They'd just have to look up a person's myspace page or check their twitter lol.
