Help answer this question below.

A teenager is robbing a bank with a toy pistol. police arrive and order him to drop the weapon. teenager points weapon at police. he is shot dead. any comments?

    Yes. Stupid teenager. The police don't know that it's fake. I'm sure they feel horrible after they find out it was fake though. They also would have tried to take his arm out first but they're not gonna have super accuracy. Stupid teenager. He/she was asking for it.

    • "take his arm out" may sound good, and looks dramatic in the movies, but its not really an option ... if the officer misses ... (and a shot like that takes a fair degree of accuracy) ... he only jeopardizes his own life because it gives the criminal more time to shoot back ... if an officer (or anyone, for that matter) makes the decision to fire, in self defense, the only logical choice is to shoot to kill
