Help answer this question below.

My earth systems teacher gave me a challenge. A 2 litter bottle painted black, water is in the botte. When tipped over water comes out but then stops. I need to know what the item is that is in the bottle. The clues are it is a common household item.

    There are many things that could allow for such an effect. Basically anything that is heavy enough to counteract the boyancy effect of water, and is also able to provide a liquid seal.

    A ball of apoxy would probably do it. A very large marble would, as would a round piece of rubber.

    You've lots of possibilities.
