Help answer this question below.

My earth systems teacher gave me a challenge. A 2 litter bottle painted black, water is in the botte. When tipped over water comes out but then stops. I need to know what the item is that is in the bottle. The clues are it is a common household item.

    Think of something that is small enough to fit in a bottle, will absorb enough water to expand and plug the opening, that floats on water.
