Don't worry about the kangaroo's the amercian squirrel army has been preparing a long time for the up coming battle for supreme rulers of the galaxy.
Prostitution is not unique to Austrailia but way more influential. Being that the only women around for the first 100 yrs of caucasian influence were prostitutes. That is quite a few generations especially in a time with very little to no birth control. Not to mention the strong libido's of criminals with alcohol.

colonizing powers. they realized they couldn't truly keep the prisoners there. so they had to make distract them is my guess.
