Help answer this question below.

If you break one of God's 10 commandments, are you doomed to hell?

    The Ten Commandments
    You shall have no other Gods but me.
    You shall not make for yourself any idol, nor bow down to it or worship it.
    You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God.
    You shall remember and keep the Sabbath day holy.
    Respect your father and mother.
    You must not kill.
    You must not commit adultery.
    You must not steal.
    You must not give false evidence against your neighbour.
    You must not be envious of your neighbour's goods. You shall not be envious of his house nor his wife, nor anything that belongs to your neighbour.

    i certainly hope you are not doomed to hell if you break one, but there are a few such as murder that are fair i guess, but it depends on the scenario..
    these for those that might not know are the ten commandments, they are re worded i think, but still the same.

    • Break just one? I suspect most people break all ten in thought if not in deed (I know I have). God will judge our hearts and just as if we've lusted after a woman (in my case) we've committed adultery, the Bible also says if we have been angry with our brothers/sisters we've committed murder. If a sin is in our hearts, we're already guilty of that sin whether we carry it to fruition or not.

    • Every week, Christians violate the Sabbath, so I don't know why they fret about the rest of the commandments. Why questions like this are even asked is beyond me... The law was given to Jews...if you want to concern yourself with keeping the 10 Commandments, why not adopt the other 603 as well, and become Jewish. Then you'll realize that "Hell" is a pagan concept anyways, and you'll see that this question is silly...and most of the responses to it are even sillier.
