You shouldn't try this yourself without consulting your doctor or a pharmicist with access to your medical record because everbody's system is different, but for the record (and I shouldn't be telling you this because if it doesn't work for you I don't want you to get sick), my doctor prescribed both acetaminophen (the ingredient in Tylenol) and ibuprofen (the ingredient in Motrin) for my arthritis, and I take them at the same time, three or four times a day. The ibuprofen helps with the swelling and joint inflamation and the acetaminophen is just for pain.
