This question is in the "Getting pregnant on the pill" category, so the first thing you should do is to stop the pill. I don't think the diabetes is an issue. I have type 2 diabetes controlled with Metformin and insulin, and my doctor never gave me any reason for concern. As far as the method of getting pregnant, I'll leave that explanation up to you mother. If she is no help, get back to me and I'll give you links to some videos that should explain everything!
