Who was the last REAL president and not a puppet like Bush?

• To me "W" was more of a clown or a clone. As to being puppet like I've always felt that by the time they have reached that level they all come with a lot of strings -some may be better at concealing them then others. As to the ones that I think may have been controled by others in no order I would go with Carter, Truman and Nixon. Note - I did not say I like them or thought they were good presidents; just that for different reasons they were less likely to used by others. +5

• Personally Nixon was scandalous and only became the 35th president because RFK was killed and Nixon was profiting off the Vietnam War the whole time. But i am glad you see that most of these presidents were like marionette puppets being controlled by the hands that hold there strings but you forgot to mention JFK,Abraham Lincoln as well. +5

• You asked for one as in "the last....", I gave you three. With a correction {?} at to why Nixon became President which was not part of your question you than told me which other ones I should have listed. If the point of a question is to tell us what you know - what don't you just do that up front?
