You're reading Can re-establish trust after repeated cheating (years ago) and (now) watching porn (alot) and sneaking to do it? Would that nagging doubt ever go away?

Understanding the specific reasons/causes for the cheating is something than one can do, however not to be disillusioned by the lack of character and morals that allowed this behavior is rather impossible. Maybe that is why the partner who has been cheated on will always feel that, if circumstances once again occurred, the person would cheat or lie again.

Then it becomes a question of how the circumstances first developed and the likelihood of them happening again. If there are ways to make it less likely then these might give some comfort. If it remains likely that the circumstances will again happen, and the partner has such a lack of will, then there is no point in continuing the relationship.
