Do you believe in the flying spagetthi monster?

    My father was a staunch atheist. Growing up I once remember him pointing to a spider who had maid a cozy web in the corner of the room. "Prove to me that that is not God," he asked.

    I used to have nightmares that I would go to hell because my family did not believe in god, and of course all my friends families did.

    Yet over time I cannot call myself an atheist, but believing in a deity makes me feel very uncomfortable. I probably always struggle a bit in this area.

    So to answer your question. Why not believe in the flying spaghetti monster. For those of you who don't believe, prove to me that the flying spaghetti monster did not create life.
