What are the most romantic places in Thailand?

    Up north near Chiang Mai and somewhat near the "Golden Triangle" (The convergence of Myanmar, Laos and Thailand). Bangkok has some wonderfully romantic spots as well. I used to think the southern stretch was fine, but there is getting to be a lot of violence and terrorism in that location, so be warned. The scenery in that area is stunning and the local residents are kindhearted, though.
